Iphone 12 Pro New Features.

Jan 11,2022

We currently have three iPhone 12 pro models available for purchase in Pakistan (iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro). All three phones will soon be available. During Pakistan's festive season, buyers are looking forward to upgrading to the latest iPhones as they are released.

We look forward to putting a few of the new features to the test in my full review, although it's too early to comment on that.

Overview

The first thing we need to do is talk about pricing. There is a 128GB and 512GB variant of the iPhone 12 Pro price in Pakistan. The 128GB model starts at Rs. 216,399, and the 512GB model starts at Rs. 293,238. There is a substantial difference in price between the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 in Pakistan, with the US pricing for both models.

The iPhone 12 costs roughly Rs. 172,099 more than a simple Dollar conversion, which is expected, when comparing Apple's Pakistani and US websites. However, the iPhone 12 Pro has nearly Rs. 216,399 price difference. Pakistani consumers have always paid high prices for iPhones, so it's a bit puzzling when there's so much difference between models.

Eco-friendly boxes

Let's talk about the iPhone 12 Pro. Apple has removed nearly all accessories from this year's models, so their boxes are slimmer. There's no denying this is an eco-friendly development or a means of increasing profits, but they still ship the iPhone 12 series with only an Apple USB Type-C to Lightning cable. While Apple hopes customers will reuse their current chargers, few people have spare Type-C chargers lying around.

IPhone 11 Pro Design

The design of the iPhone 12 Pro is the first thing that stands out. While it has the same overall design as the iPhone 11 Pro, a wide notch at the top of its screen, and a similar rear camera, it's not drastically different from that device. As opposed to being curved, the stainless steel sides have now been flattened.

Initially, we weren't fans of the iPhone 12 Pro, but we were impressed after holding it for a while. There is a slight difference between the hand-feel of its rounded edges and all the round phones currently on the market, but it could be adapted. In addition to the new Pacific Blue colour, there are Gold, Graphite, and Silver options.

Features

According to the release announcement, the iPhone 12 Pro shares features with the iPhone 11 Pro, such as stereo speakers, dust and water resistance, and wireless charging. With a screen size of 6.1 inches, the display is slightly larger than the 11 Pro.

Despite this, it is bright and contrasty like the 11 Pro. Apple calls the new glass material Ceramic Shield, which is an OLED screen with HDR certification. As compared to previous models, Apple claims the new device offers four times more shatter resistance.

Cameras

Besides the latest A14 Bionic SoC, the iPhone 12 Pro also features Apple's latest 5nm fabrication technology, which has led to an overall faster and more powerful iPhone. The A13 Bionic may have more power, but it probably won't make a significant difference for most everyday tasks. What interests me more, though, is the new Image Signal Processor (ISP), which allows the camera of the iPhone 12 Pro to record HDR video.

Front camera

Speaking of cameras, let's take a look at them briefly. Three primary cameras still use 12-megapixel sensors (wide-angle, wide-angle, and telephoto). A new version of Smart HDR has been released for improved exposures in backlit photos; for instance, the wide-angle lens has a wider f/1.6 aperture.

On the other hand, what's exciting is that all of the cameras on the iOS 12 Pro (including the selfie camera) support Deep Fusion and Night Mode instead of the primary camera only on the iPhone 11 Pro. Additionally, a LiDAR scanner will enable a better augmented reality (AR) experience and benefit the camera's autofocus in low-light conditions.

wireless charging

The new wireless charging solution from Apple. As with all the iPhones in the series, the iPhone 12 Pro is compatible with MagSafe wireless charging. This means MagSafe chargers can easily be attached to the back of the phone.

The Apple 20W accessory (sold separately) can be connected to the MagSafe charger for a maximum wireless output of 15W. It still works as a Qi-based wireless charger, so it will work as a standard wireless charger with a slower charging rate.
