5-Minute Cute Baby Leggings.

Nov 10,2016

When it comes to dressing smart, there is nothing better than a cute pair of baby leggings that complement the little curves majestically. So, I decided to put up a tutorial that would help moms like me to create homemade artistic pair of leggings for their baby in just 5 minutes! Yes ladies, you heard me right.

Today, I will share how you can create creatively put together a pair of form fitting leggings for your baby at the cost of only one mini or body con skirt. So without any further ado, let’s begin the creative skirt-to-legging project!

Things you will Need for Baby Leggings

  •  Your baby’s old pair of leggings for guide
  • A body con skirt (different color patterns)
  • Scissors
  • Measuring tape
  • Sewing pins
  • Spirit of creativity
  • Fabric pencil (optional)

Getting Started

  1. Spread out the body con skirt on a table and lay the old pair of leggings over them.
  2. Now, use the scissors to cut the body con skirt according to the size of your baby leggings. You can use a fabric pencil (if you own one), or you can just trust your eye judgment. Make the cut with at least 1/5 inch seam allowance.
  3. Now, after the cutting, you will have two pieces attached with the hemmed top of the body con skirt.
  4. Flip the pieces so they are turned up to the wrong side; the side of the leggings that you want to keep on the front is now inward.
  5. Use the sewing pins to keep the sides of leggings in place while you sew the first side.
  6. Sew both the inner and outer sides of the leggings and that is it. Since we used the original waistband and bottom hem of the skirt, there is no need for the hem-job.

Don’t they just look fantastic!

So, what do you think? I’d love to hear from you, so do not shy away from sharing your opinion below.
