Choosing The Right Heels Doesn’t Have To Be Hard.

Feb 06,2017

Shoes are beautiful, but choosing just the right pair can be hard. Things get tougher when you are in a store with lots of attractive and elegant heels lying so gracefully on the shelves. Most of us feel that overwhelming sense of happiness and despair at the same time when we wish to buy all of them but fear making the wrong choice while choosing the one pair that we actually need. So here are some easy and simple tips for you to make sure that you make the right choice while choosing the most important part of your attire.

Test Them Out

It is quite possible that you would fall in love with a pair of beautiful black stilettos but when you wear them, they would itch and hurt like crazy. It is important to understand that you need those shoes that not only look good but also allow you to stay comfortable (well at least as much comfort as heels usually allow) so you look confident and at ease with your attire. The easiest way to make sure that you have chosen the right pair of heels is to wear them and walk around the store in them. Notice how they cover your foot, and make sure that your little toe or heel is not protruding out of the shoe line. Also note if you would be able to wear them comfortably for at least a considerable length of time.

Taller Is Not Always Better

High heels are in fashion and higher the heel, the more stylish it seems to look. The important thing however is not the shape of the shoes but how you carry them. If you buy heels that are too high, you might end up spoiling your gait instead of adding the desired touch of fashion. The ideal height of heels is 1-3 inches, but if you are used to wearing high heels and have mastered your posture and walk in them, you can wear higher heels too.

Heel size is also symptomatic of the kind of attire and the kind of event for which you are putting together your outfit. 3-inch heels are best for work wear, 4-5 inch heels are suitable for weekend work wear or casual parties and taller than these heels are only suitable for times when you don’t have to walk around too much.

Practice Makes A Man (And A Woman) Perfect

Once you have chosen and bought the right heels mindfully, don’t leave experimentation until the day that you have to wear them. Put them on and walk around the house a couple of times to get comfortable and adjust your posture. Also make sure to keep your foot position right that keeps the heel vertical. That will avoid slipping and falling by accident.
