There is a lot of variety regarding baby shoes and sandals on the market, but it is always fun to do something for your baby at home. With this guide, I hope to share easy, step-by-step guide to create adorable baby barefoot sandals that would add a funky look to your baby’s overall outfit. So let’s get started!

What You Might Need

  • 5/7? fold over elastic
  • Chiffon Flowers {2/pair}
  • A piece of felt
  • glue gun
  • scissors

Size Guide for the Sandals

  • Newborn around 2.5?
  • 0-3 Months around 3?
  • 3-6 Months around 3.5?
  • 6-12 Months around 4?

Note: Children grow at different growth rates, so use your judgment when selecting the ingredients for the barefoot sandals.

Let’s Get Down to Business

1. To begin, remove the additional tulle from the chiffon flowers with the help of scissors.

2. Cut 4 equal length sections of elastic for the barefoot sandals. Use the size guide to find the accurate size for your baby.

3. Grab the first piece of elastic and glue it to one of the flowers with the hot glue gun, as shown in the figure below.

4. Similarly, take the second elastic piece and glue it in a way that it makes a perfect sphere around one side of the chiffon flower. See the image below for guidance.

5. Now, cut a rectangular or circular piece of felt with the help of scissors. You can cut 1.5?x3? of felt, or according to the size of your baby’s feet. Glue the felt to the base of the chiffon flower and snip the corners to give a neat finish.

Repeat the process from step 3-5 for the second chiffon flower. Not so tough, right?
