The idea of power dressing for work is at least forty years old but its importance has not reduced. With ever increasing competition in the world of jobs and entrepreneurship, it is now equally pertinent for women to dress up for workplaces in a way that not only accentuates their personality but also provides them with needed confidence to perform at par with their male co-workers.

In modern day world women are redefining fashion and dressing in communal workplaces. Right from the right dress at the job interview till the big meeting at the end of the year, women are deciding upon their entire mindfully to make the right impression that reflects their grace as well as their professional integrity. It’s tougher for women since they need to be careful not only of their clothes but also of their accessories – no dangling earrings at a formal occasion, hair toed up for presentations and so on.

However, a surprising attitude is developing among working women of today who are not only leading the world of entrepreneurship but also redefining ways of dressing up for workplaces. Instead of conforming to the ‘right’ dress code, they are focusing on their individuality and on style that compliments their personality instead of their work.

Instead of sticking to straight legged trousers and un-tucked dress shirts and carefully donned duppatta over traditional shalwar kameez, now the women are carrying trendy and fashionable attire as well as casual and informal attire irrespective of the nature of work or event. It’s more about what makes them comfortable and allows them to perform to their best rather than what is considered ‘appropriate.’

Fortunately, this has turned out to be beneficial for women burying away the fears of being at a loss for deviating away from the conventional attire. Dressing up in unique manners has allowed women to gain more confidence and increased their efficiency at their jobs too. The suits or duppattas are no more the stairs to be climbed to success. It’s upon women’s own choice now to wear clothes that forms the best combination of modesty, grace and fashion for themselves.

However this is not to say that fashionable women of modern day have gone rouge or deviant in their dressing. In fact the dressing style of women has become a lot more classy and elegant. The reason being that when women dress according to their comfort level and to their own peace of heart, it always comes out as graceful irrespective of the kind of clothing they support. Be it traditional or modern, the manner in which a woman carries her attire speaks it all. And modern day working women seem to have cracked the code to combine fashion and elegance together to form their individual style statements that allow them to assert their competitiveness and flaunt their good taste in clothes.
